Got Something Smart (or Spicy) to Say About Health? We Want to Publish It!

Calling All Writers!

Mad about something in the healthcare industry right now? Want to respond to a debate with your own take? Excited about a new medical research paper or product? MediDebate wants your voice — and we want to publish it!

What We’re Looking For

  • Opinion / Rant pieces
  • Bioethical debates
  • Updates on hot research in the medical world
  • Advice & how-tos
  • Mythbusters-style fact-checks

We’re also open to other ideas — as long as they’re teen-friendly and medical or wellness-related.

Guidelines

  • Length: 600–800 words
  • Write in a way any normal human (read: me) can understand — but don’t be afraid to geek out!
  • Use credible sources and link to your stats.

How to Submit

  • Create a PDF and submit it [submission link here], OR
  • Email it to elizabeth.pie135@gmail.com with the subject line “MediDebate Submission.”
(If you don’t, I’ll probably think it’s spam.)

We’ll get back to you in about a week. If your piece is selected, we’ll ask you to share it via Google Docs so we can suggest edits. If you don’t hear from us, it doesn’t mean your writing was bad — sometimes we just have more submissions than we can publish that week. Please don’t be discouraged!
